Hello Everyone. Thanks for stopping by. Some of you are aware; I was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer in late October 2021. Surrounded by my family, friends, and with a tremendous amount of people praying for me, I started on what would become a whirlwind month and a half in which I had multiple procedures done. 

 

This included liters of fluid drained off my left lung, a catheter inserted so draining could be managed at home, a biopsy done, a port put in, and I had 2 rounds of chemotherapy. All of this was done thru TriHealth Cancer Institute of Cincinnati, Ohio. 

 

I have since been prescribed a designer medication developed for the rare strand of cancer that I have. After a year of treatment, I am now doing great. The cancer has currently stopped growing and some masses are no longer visible. I am one of two people, of the 700,000 patients that are served by TriHealth Cancer Institute, with this strand. With me having such a rare strand I became the self-proclaimed Unicorn and those around me would become Team Unicorn. 

 

I have been greatly blessed by those at TriHealth Cancer Institute and I believe I should help pass that blessing on to others. There are those cancer patients who need help with a variety of items, whether its as simple as a ride for a treatment or monetary needs for gas, groceries, prescriptions, or health insurance benefits. 

 

This is the reason why my wife and I are starting this fundraiser.
